galinda (later glinda) upland is the cherished only daughter of the upper uplands, a high society family in gillikin country, in the north of the wonderful land of oz. bubbly, popular and gregarious, with a long-held dream of becoming a powerful sorcerer at the prestigious shiz university, galinda arrives at the school amidst her peers and friends, only to encounter elphaba thropp for the first time. the pair clash almost immediately, but accidentally end up as roommates, their forced proximity first leading to loathing, then slow understanding, then friendship...best friendship. and perhaps more.

first impressions.
visual. very petite, wide-eyed, bubbly blonde, big eyes, impeccable make-up and hair.
fashion. PINK so much pink, glinda has a thousand pieces of luggage with all her outfits (despite shiz having a uniform) as well as all the things for her hair and make-up. lookbook here.
demeanor. louder-than-life. glinda is the prettiest, most popular, most adored girl in any room, and if she isn't yet, she's going to find a way to MAKE herself asap. tends towards a very sweet, virtuous, good girl persona, though she's not above shameless flirting -- that's one of her favorite things.
aural. high/breathy, sweet, lilting, tends to sing phrases, squawks/shrieks when she's scared/upset/startled.
Permissions
canonpoint. flexible - for memes i tend to default to a post-popular, pre-emerald city point where everyone is happy and silly at school. in games, likely post-movie.
backtagging. into infinity! i try to hit tags every 1-3 days or so, but i'm happy to keep going back and forth as long as the energy's there. also always open to restart old threads, no matter how long it's been~

telepathy/psychic abilities. go for it! glinda is VERY much an open book telepathy-wise -- she's technically a fairy/witch, but she has zero magical ability at the moment.
shipping. fave: elphaba, fiyero, the thropple yes: shenshen, nessa, boq, probably madame morrible and the wizard too tbh no. pfannee because that boy is Gay and uhhh doctor dillamond I guess??
